DESCRIPTION

In this LAB, learners will be focusing on their rights and responsibilities as tenants. They will be presented with some typical problems and issues that arise between tenants and landlords (or between one tenant and another), and then conducting research on the Internet in order to become more informed about the legal rights and obligations of both parties.

INTENTION PÉDAGOGIQUE

In the process of carrying out the activities in this LAB, learners will refine their reading, writing and research skills and become familiar with some of the important legal terminology associated with tenants’ and landlords’ rights and responsibilities.

Utilisation

This LAB is intended for all adult learners, but will be particularly useful to those learners who are, have been, or will be tenants (or indeed landlords, since the rights and responsibilities of tenants and landlords are complementary). The LAB will provide learners with the tools and resources needed to become informed about their legal rights and responsibilities in exercising their roles as tenants.
