This LS is inspired by the Cheerios Bring Back the Bees commercials and website. The student watches two short videos and does some research on the bee crisis. He or she needs to talk about his or her feelings on the crisis and decide on what action he or she will take.
The intention of this LS is to have the student practise using learning strategies. The strategies covered in this LS are: activating prior knowledge, understanding texts (audio and written), preparing notes and metacognition.
This is intended as a learning situation and not an LES. Its intention is specifically for practising strategies. Students who have difficulties with simple reading, listening and speaking tasks can benefit from this LS.
