DESCRIPTION

This learning situation will enable adult learners to discover algebraic rules associated with the different isometric transformations. The learning situation must be given at the beginning of the course.

INTENTION PÉDAGOGIQUE

This LS enables the adult learner to deal with situations that involve representing and describing two-dimensional geometric transformations of an object. The adult learner will have to analyse the outcomes of a geometric transformation on a planar figure in order to understand the link established with the parameters of the algebraic rules.

This LS must be handed out before presenting the algebraic rules that describe the geometric transformations.
